OTB 1.1.2 IPhone with iTunes7.5(19) will not downgrade #348

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect Phone Select DFU Mode: Succesful
2. Run iTunes 7.5(19), option click restore, select iPhone1,1_1.ipsw
3. iTunes dialog: Waiting for iPhone... goes on and on...more than an hour now.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I don't know, but instructions say wait a few minutes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.1.2 iPhone OS X 10.4.11

Please provide any additional information below.

No luck updating to 1.1.2 either. Is there a more potent DFU or is that the
issue? Using
iNdependence 1.3.1.

I can't even get to the "Restore iPod" pop-up in iTunes, no matter what I try
and do every time I connect to
iTunes I get taken to AT&T activation page.

PLEASE HELP!!!?

I successfully downgraded to 1.1.1 and found I could not downgrade to 1.0.2. I
then
found documentation that I couldn't do that with my OOTB phone, but I did find
that I
could bypass the activation using the No Touch website's method. You can put the
phone into a DFU mode(? at least it looks like DFU mode to me) by holding the
power
and home button until the phone goes blank and then hold the home button for 5
more
seconds. The phone then seemed receptive. I don't remember every step but I
just want
to activate without any phone functionality. Sim breaks are not possible so I
don't
get a phone here in Canada anyway. My last attempt to upgrade to 1.1.2 failed
because
OktoPrep didn;t survive the upgrade. I won't be trying again soon.

I run ito the same problem. OTB 1.12 iPhone week 50

Could not downgrade to 1.0.2 either from 1.1.2 or 1.1.1
Tried http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=455 and it worked. Of
course no unlocking yet, but at
least wifi and everything works. And it's jailbroken. Hope this helps.
