I have tried to follow the steps in this:

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/how-to-install-apps-in-iphone-1'1'2/how-to-install-
applications-on-iphone-112-video-tutorial-328365.php

Gizmodo video, but I can't see to get that pop up message to appear in iTunes
7.5? This dialog: (iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must
restore this iPhone before it can be
used with iTunes.)

PLEASE HELP!!??

I finally found out what the problem was. After you turn off the iPhone (near
the start of the procedure) and
press both buttons to restart it, you leave go "Sleep / wake" to show the Apple
logo, but...

YOU DON'T LEAVE GO OF THE "HOME" BUTTON!!!!!

I cannot believe nobody ever says this, when as I know, IT IS
NECESSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.
