Coarsen Utility crashes #115

As reported by Jonathan Carruthers-Jones:

I tried to use the Coarsen Utility but it kept crashing out trying to write the output (by default) to a gdb using a .tif extension. I gave it a .tif and wanted to output back to a .tif but it forced it into a .gdb and then crashed saying it was in the wrong format. Maybe I just missed a setting ?
