The problem is that when new users open the toolbox they see so many parameters it becomes daunting and they walk away. It looks scarier than it is.
The low hanging fruit is to get rid of the ones not needed, like core, core id field, and resistance. (We can get these values from Linkage Pathways settings I think ).
Other candidates are some of the new climate curves values can be baked in by default, and changed over in lp_settings. It may be that we want to do this with all the climate preference settings, and make the default weight of 0. Not sure. Probably can keep it daylighted for now. This is an issue to be discussed with the LM community or at least other users during the next year. In fact, posing this question might stimulate use and beta testing and be a win for everyone.
