Examples of correspondences #60

Open makxdekkers opened 7 years ago

In the last paragraph of section 7, it is stated that XKOS does not define any properties or sub-classes for xkos:Correspondence and xkos:ConceptAssociation. However, given that it is one of the objectives of XKOS to be able to express such correspondences, it would be useful if examples of the most common correspondences were presented, e.g. for the simple cases of merge (2->1), split (1->2) or where items remain the same. Without the inclusion of these simple cases, the approach remains theoretical.

See discussion at https://github.com/linked-statistics/xkos/issues/31#issuecomment-280336388 and the use of mads:componentList as possible example.

As far as I can see, https://gbv.github.io/jskos/jskos.html#concept-mappings would work for the simple cases. This could be mentioned as an example in the XKOS specification.
