R01: Catalog support #1

Support for loading dataset metadata from dereferencable dataset URIs and data catalog APIs, data dumps and SPARQL endpoints which provide the metadata (preferably DCAT and DCAT-AP com- patible metadata).

[ ] Support DCAT-AP. Vocabulary at https://www.w3.org/TR/vocab-dcat/.

Consider how the support could be implemented once in the platform, not once for ETL and once for viz tool. Consider implementing some service that would provide dataset metadata from different sources (CKAN/DCAT) and unify the vocabulary. Both tools would then need to integrate just with that service, which would use a single vocabulary.
