Regression: Text dropped #203

See attached PDF. Pages 4, 5 and 11 (zero-based) are missing all content from 
about half way down the first column.

I've bisected the issue and it seems to have been caused by 
https://codereview.chromium.org/1219133005.

There's multiple bug reports filed due to that CL. It's being tracked in 
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=524043 and there's a 
pending CL to fix the bug: https://codereview.chromium.org/1307353005/
