In the hotpep README you have the following:

[hits] = integer > 0. Represents the minimum number of unique camers found to annotate a gene.

What are camers. Is it perhaps a different way of spelling k-mers?

Secondly, what are you recomended default setting for hits and freq for running the hotpep python edition with train_many_organisms_many_families.py on annotated fungal protein fastas.
