Hey, I've got a fresh copy of Ubuntu 23 running on my SP8.

In the additional drivers software Ubuntu lists me: Intel Corporation: Unknown This device is not working

and I can select "Intel Integrated Image Processing Unit 6 (IPU6) driver from intel-ipu6-dkms will be used (open source) but I will get an error message that the program has crashed. If I manually try to install the intel-ipu6-dkms package via terminal I get the error that this kernel is not supported by intel-ipu6-dkms. Does anyone has an idea?

Hello buddy! First of all, have you tried the latest version of Ubuntu (24.04) yet? The new default kernel integrates more drivers. On installation, it just performs better than previous Ubuntu versions. For example, on my Surface Laptop Studio, I was able to use the trackpad at install time. Secondly, it seems that the Intel drivers come with the kernel and you don't have to do any other special setup. Hope to hear your good消息。
