Repack script polishing #32

Make the repack script friendlier to users by simplifying the usage syntax.
Emit more helpful error messages.
Embed template file in script so it can run without any external dependencies.
On success, tell the user what the logical next step would be.

Closes #31 .

I was pretty sure I also used my usual trick of DIR="$(readlink -f "$(dirname "$0")")" to make every path relative to the script, but it seems this is the one script where I didn't do that.
