Hi @svaksha ,
Thanks for your suggestion. Something such as a PR workflow for this repo is still in pipeline. Before that we need to streamline the process of proposing/suggesting talks on the talks repo through a pre-defined template. Also, about the talk on git, I liked the idea. I would wait for people to come and propose a talk on git.
Also, if someone seeing this issue, would like to suggest, feel free to update this repo: https://github.com/CuriousLearner/git-intro
PS: This is what I've used to teach git to people.
Also, @shivan1b, what do you think about the suggestion?
@CuriousLearner Meet @svaksha! She is one of the founders of LinuxChix India. I totally like the suggestion. Would be great to have such a talk for the nexxt meetup.
Yes, already read about her :)
So, you can put it on group if someone is interested in proposing a talk. Also, they can use the slides that I've made!

Are you aware of software carpentry? They have fantastic (libre) resources that can be reused for teaching git basics, among other teaching material. I have used the SWC teaching material (https://github.com/swcarpentry/git-novice) but then I am a certified instructor. I am not aware if their resources can be used by non-instructors without the branding, just ask.

@CuriousLearner I did take session on git intro here's the link to the slides https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1h6mfEgcCmq_mjR7b8R-d5PvGah0sl8tOPzDKWinmxq8/edit?usp=sharing ,incase it helps anyway let me know, will be super glad to help :)
Hi @shivan1b, @CuriousLearner, I hope it is ok to suggest a talk topic - since you use github to collect talk topics, how about a talk on git? For ex. ask people to submit their slides as PR's on github - this helps folks learn git in a practical way, they give talks & help you create a permanent resource. I am not in Delhi, else I would have volunteered to do a git talk :) Good luck !
