This might be a noob question but what is the destination for the mod? like what folder do I need to move it to?

all mods get installed into the GameData directory

for questions like this, it would be best to post questions on the KSP Forums, where many other people can also answer questions like this. The forums are very helpful, and people are always willing to help.
