[glitch] purchasing nodes in 1.8.1 with insufficient funds #3

Observed in 1.8.1 with only the following mods, in a brand new CKAN instance and (career) save game:

[ ] have sufficient science but insufficient funds for a node [ ] purchase the node in tech tree [ ] observe:

[ ] exit tech tree. [ ] observe:

[ ] return to tech tree immediately [ ] observe:

[ ] exit tech tree [ ] enter vab [ ] observe:

[ ] exit vab [ ] enter tech tree [ ] observe:

Expected behavior: [ ] If insufficient funds, but sufficient science is available, EITHER:

Just to clarify - I recognize that based on the description of the mod it is supposed to switch tech tree to funds-only purchases, and that you can convert science to funds.

What I'm reporting is that if you do try to purchase a tech without sufficient funds, it is very easy to be misled into thinking you actually did get the tech, because it shows in the tech tree as unlocked when you click it, and then even if you go back into the tech tree right away it still shows the parts unlocked.
