@clefebvre, I don't want to spam. It's your distro after all, and it's a great one. I love Linux Mint. But I want to tell you something, one more time.
It's easy to switch. I could do it myself, in 1 week. It's as easy as swapping out some files and changing the default menu icon. We don't have too much branding.
For merch and MintBoxes, the simple logo is still valid. The Lm shape is the same.
Also, this is much simpler. We shouldn't have 12 variants, and the old leaf dosen't look like a leaf, and it is not symmetrical. The circle is not minty, and the lawn green color is bad. It could just as well be called "Linux Lime". Please consider this. It's the last time I will say it.
This pull request is unmergeable, but we could fix that, but first I would like to see if it's OK. I also know that this repository is not for exploring new alternatives. If this is the reason, I'll post it on linuxmint/linuxmint so it can get more discussion.

Before closing this, keep in mind that the LM is the same. If you think it's hard to change the logo, you may let me do it because for me it's easy and we could have the same logo on the new website (website-wizixo), blog, forums, and community.

I only got positive comments and some say you should really consider switching over to this.
The reasoning
I made this logo because the new circle shape does not look minty at all, the logo is lacking in depth, has too many variants, etcetera. While the old logo is too complicated, it appears offcenter due to the stem, etcetera.
Please consider switching over to this. It's not really that hard. :)
