"Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed" does not work on LM21 #296

I just installed Linux Mint 21, Cinnamon version 5.4.10, Linux kernel 5.15.0-46-generic on my laptop and discovered that the following option listed in the "Mouse and Touchpad" app does not work:

"Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed."

I tested the Control Key on my laptop's keyboard and know that it is OK. This was previously a Windows machine with this option activated.
