Screensaver briefly and repeatedly shows the desktop #312

Closed LinuxOnTheDesktop closed 4 years ago

LinuxOnTheDesktop commented 5 years ago
 * Cinnamon-Screensaver version (cinnamon-screensaver --version) 4.2.0
 * Distribution - (Mint 17.2, Arch, Fedora 25, etc...) Mint 19.1 (alpha of 19.2)
 * Graphics hardware *and* driver used: 3.0 Mesa 19.0.2; Intel Graphics 620 (Kabylake)
 * 32 or 64 bit: 64

Issue

When the screensaver is on, i.e. the computer is locked, the desktop shows for approximately a third of a second - and indeed does so repeatedly.

Steps to reproduce

Unclear: I was cleaning my keyboard when the screensaver was on, and the pressing of random keys trigged the display, twice or three times, of the desktop. So: try locking the computer and then running one's palm all over the keyboard.

Expected behaviour

This should not happen. It is a security violation - for, what if something confidential were on the screen?

This bug seems not to be present in Mint 19.3's Cinnamon.
