In power management I have it set to turn off the screen after 15 minutes. Upon moving the mouse after returning the Cinnamon Screensaver crashes, and then locks my account by sending several empty login attempts. Have to switch to another tty and faillock --reset and restart cinnamon to get back in.
Install Cinnamon on Arch, set a time to power off the screen in Cinnamon Power Management. Make sure suspend after x time isn't turned on. Lock the computer manually. Attempting to move the mouse after the screen is shut off will crash the screensaver.
Expected behavior
Screensaver does not crash
Additional information
At end of posted log you can find the "ghost" login attempts after the screensaver crashed that caused faillock to trigger. This seems to be the same unwanted behaviour as #412
