Cinnamon crashes sporadically when searching in Menu applet

Issue Cinnamon crashes (very sporadically) when searching for applications.

Use search in the menu applet

Other information This is not a new bug, it has existed for at least several years but I didn't bother reporting it due to its sporadic and infrequent nature. I will try to cause it more consistently and update this issue.

I have this problem. Same story. Hard to pin down, but happens at least once a day...
