Issue Cannot enable seconds display in task bar using the basic time/date menu. Basically the circled button doesn't do anything, but I think it used to in some older cinnamon release, or at least the previous menu allowed for changing it.

Steps to reproduce Toggle the settings button for seconds display image

Expected behaviour Seconds should appear in the clock when toggling the button.

Other information Believe this is affecting all of my arch machines. Will update if I find any that it doesn't affect.

Configuration info, if applicable While looking up a list of all running applets I discovered that the old settings menu is still present in the calendar applet, but the average user may not know to look there. After manually editing it here I got the seconds to display. Attached the exported settings file after changing it in the applet menu. image CalendarSettings.json.txt

After enabling the seconds in this applet menu, I cannot use the Time and Date button to turn the seconds back off.

There's supposed to be a settings page for the applet - for things specific to it. The 'Date & Time' format settings will only affect the applet if 'Use a custom date format' is disabled.

This all seems to be working as intended from a quick test.

I have confirmed that when I disable the "Use a custom date format" the 3 options in time and date work as intended. Maybe the menu could show some message when the "Use a custom date format" option is enabled.
