Apply update automatically is not working #11471

Hi,

I have an issue with the update manager in Mint 20.3 Cinnamon 5.2.7. It seems the option "Apply update automatically" is just not working. I have to manually apply the updates in the Update manager.

We can find the option in mintUpdate/Edit/Preferences/Automation. But even ticked, this is not working automatically, but working manually. I have 3 sessions (for 3 users) on this computer, but each one is set like this.

I don't know is this issue is solved, but not for me :-(

Thank you for your support and for this great desktop !

Are the programs not being updated flatpaks? Flatpaks and Spices are only updated on login. meaning you need to actually restart or logout in order for them to apply. While the automatic daily updates only applies updates which are NOT spices and NOT flatpak. I have no idea why those are excluded. but they are.
