Bug description

Updated to new kernel 5.15.0-86.96 when released. Rebooted, got the Mint loading screen. As soon as the desktop loaded, the screen went blank,... Couldn't access any recovery options. (Yep, still a beginner). Rebuilt system. On update manager - did not select firmware or Kernel. All others installed, rebooted no issues. Installed Kernel, rebooted and display did not return. Yet another rebuild, this time, I selected all but the Kernel. System is now stable but on the previous kernel Linux 5.15.0-76

Steps to reproduce

This was a clean build downloaded 5th October, Never seen an issue like this before.

Expected behavior

N/A

This looks much more like a problem with x11, try switching to Wayland and see if that helps.
