Wrong background zoom with different aspect ratio monitors #12009

Open reasonset opened 10 months ago

reasonset commented 10 months ago

Distribution

Manjaro Linux

Package version

6.0.2

Graphics hardware in use

AMD Radeon RX7900XTX

Frequency

Always

Bug description

When monitors with different aspect ratios are used, the background (wallpaper) is displayed excessively zoomed based on the zoom ratio of the main monitor, even if the monitor can display with less zoom.

Steps to reproduce

The image is displayed correctly when the background image is selected or set to zoom, and only occurs when logged in in this state.

Expected behavior

The display is the same as when a background image is set or when "Zoom" is set.

Additional information

A similar problem used to occur when portrait and landscape were mixed in the same aspect ratio, but no longer occurs.

This issue also happens when the login screen is at 100% scale and the desktop logged in is at 200%. my current workaround is to open the background settings and change the picture aspect to something other than zoom, then back to zoom. Arch linux here, also happens under mint / lmde.
