One tiled window needlessly resizes to unusable size when adjusting their horizontal sizes. #12305

Mint 21.3 and Mint 22 Beta (both affected)

Graphics hardware in use

Radeon and Nvidia 3080 on laptop

Bug description

One tiled window needlessly resizes to unusable size when adjusting their horizontal sizes. See image attached.

Steps to reproduce

Resize the horizontal layout of two side by side tiled windows. (Sometimes you need to go back and forth to make it happen.) Upon further testing; it seems that if I tile the left window first this happens, but if I tile the right window first, it doesn't.

Expected behavior

Vertical height of the windows should not change with horizontal resizing. Screenshot from 2024-07-22 16-35-28

It doesn't seem to depend on the app, multiple different apps were tested. (VS Codium, Firefox, Virtual Machine Manager, and Betterbird via Flatpak.)

Hmm. So it seems that if I tile the left window first this happens, but if I tile the right window first, it doesn't.

Reproduced on a second computer (Desktop, AMD RX 6800 XT, Mint 22 Beta).
