Starting Firewall GUI freezes system #12496

Bug description
When I start the firewall GUI from the system settings, the system freezes. I can move the mouse, but it does not do anything.
Steps to reproduce
Open Firewall from system settings.
Expected behavior
The GUI should open and the machine should stay responsive.
Additional information
I can turn the firewall on and off with the terminal - works. Just the GUI start does not work.
