Unknown window on startup [Object instance proxy GIName:Meta.Window....] #1288

I have seen this blank window appear a few times before, not sure why and can't reproduce

Using looking glass I can see the window is called the following

Object instance proxy GIName:Meta.Window jsobj@0x7f0acada43f0 native@0x3eae2d01 wmclass: null

Looking glass shows no errors. Any ideas? Or has anyone else seen this? Linux Mint 13 + Cinnamon 1.6

I've got the same thing happening. I'd be interested to know what this is although I'm a little bit heartened that someone else has it and it seems mint specific...

I used to see the same screen randomly upon login, but after switching to the newest versions of Cinnamon it doesn't happen anymore (1.6.4).

I'm running 1.6.4 now and have also not seen this come up so I'm guessing its fixed

Please open a new bug if you can reproduce the problem in a recent nightly build or in the upcoming Cinnamon 1.8.

I see the same with cinnamon 1.8.8 on Mint. Already happened three times now. Window is titled "unknown"(translated) on the task bar. Virtually same as screenshot above.

Using looking glass for the first time, the only readable thing I get out of it regarding this window is "ClutterStage".
