http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/ I thought that this issue was fixed in the update! This is the 3rd time now and I am anoyed. First the normal menu goes then I tried this applet and all of cinnamon crashed. I did not install any out dated ppas, or anything other then Opera and a few of the emmulators so I know it could not be anything on my end. Could it be a glich in Cinnamon? If it is then it should be reproduced. I know it happens when ever I put that app or one of the Gnome Menu Apps in. If you put them all in the folder it instantly crashes cinnamon, even if none of them are activate. This is realy a pain. I have the same issue on the Laptop with that partion If you want you can check out some of the hardware I am using, here is the link to the laptop specks: http://community.linuxmint.com/hardware/from/54745 . I just want to be sure what is causing this so I can get it fixed.
