Hi,

after the update of cinnamon-session (and possibly other things) a couple of days ago (version 2.0.6) conky now refuses to show.

Conky settings: http://codepaste.net/5gww8z

Cinnamon 2.0.14-3 Cinnamon-session 2.0.6-2

x86_64

Conky log is normal:

Conky: desktop window (120002f) is subwindow of root window (287) Conky: window type - override Conky: drawing to created window (0x1600001) Conky: drawing to double buffer

Has little to do with cinnamon. You set conky´s window type to override. That works in only a few cases. Most of the time the conky won´t be visible. Use the other window types: normal, dock, desktop, panel.Best is dock since then the conky won´t be shown when you go to the expo screen.

I find that Conky works with override for me, thought it does occasionally disappear.

I have this .conkyrc: https://gist.github.com/FernandoBasso/2a6e5a21a6dd3305cd5b

Still, even with "onw_window_type dock", conky is still hidden when I go the the expo screen.

Is this still relevant in cinnamon 3.0?
