 * Cinnamon version (3.6.7)
 * Distribution - (Mint 18.3)
 * Nvidia Proprietary 384.11
 * 64 bit

Issue

The Applet Window List and Expo View are showing java windows that they shouldn't, the Icing Task Manager Applet does not show them. screenshot from 2018-03-06 19-37-23 screenshot from 2018-03-06 13-07-03 screenshot from 2018-03-06 19-54-05

Steps to reproduce

I don't know exactly, I just know that they are windows for project something in a secondary monitor, they are auxiliaries one, something like that.

Expected behaviour

The Windows List Applet and Expo View shouldn't show these windows, only windows that have content in it, not auxiliaries ones, these windows should be invisible.

Other information

The program is called Holyrics, it's a church projection program, like OpenLP, it is in test on Linux, but, if the Icing Task Manager doesn't show these windows, I think it's a bug of Cinnamon. This program depend of JRE to open (either OpenJDK or Oracle one), and VLC is a recommended for playing media.

@DanielRios549 are you still experiencing this issue?

smurphos commented 4 years ago

@icarter09 This is still a problem for many Java based apps in 4.2, particularly those that use Embedded Frames. Those produce dummy entries in GWL..
