Hi. I'm now on Cinnamon version 4.4.8 & problem is still existing !
I would like to add the following notes: 1) "beeb" sound is same that generated when you do the following: open terminal GUI | then just click on "back" or "delete" keys. 2) I'm already removed the following packages since I'm not using them:
On run "sudo dnf install @cinnamon-desktop" , the output is:
sudo dnf install @cinnamon-desktop

But the output of "sudo dnf distro-sync" is "no thing to do". Is this related ?
Hi. Today, I received update for Cinnamon. Now I'm still on Cinnamon version 4.4.8 but with new version fix from Fedora. It is now version 4.4.8-7.fc30.
With new update there is partial improvement: the strange "Beep" sound now disappearing completely, but no normal sound instead it ! The normal sound (sound of opening a folder) still appearing when it was appearing before update, but not appearing instead "Beep" sound that is already disappearing. So, now, NO SOUND AT ALL when opening folders when "Beep" sound was abnormally generated.
The question now: is this Cinnamon bug or Fedora specific package(s) bug?
I'm a little confused. I don't get a sound when opening a folder inside Nemo and never have on Mint. I get one when opening a new window but not navigating in the folders.
Issue Today - & just today after receiving new kernel update 5.4.7-100.fc30.x86_64 - I started to notice that if I open or close any directory located inside my home directory there will be a strange sound not same sound that selected by Cinnamon setting !! I check "sounds" in Cinnamon setting & I played all of them & I did not face such strange sound !!
When I opened & closed folders on my Desktop view I do not face such strange sound, but I face the usual sounds that already selected by default. When I click on "Files" on my system panel the correct sound will played. But after that - within my home directory - if I open / close /return back any folder, like "Downloads" (or even sub-folder), I will faced by strange sound "Beeb" like !!
