Battery indicator icon on Lockscreen reports wrong level after suspend #9393

 * Cinnamon version (cinnamon --version)
Cinnamon 3.8.9

 * Distribution - (Mint 17.2, Arch, Fedora 25, etc...)
 LinuxMint 19 (tara)
* Graphics hardware *and* driver used
GK107GLM
 * 32 or 64 bit
64
 * Attach /home/<username>/.xsession-errors
[.xsession-errors.txt](https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/files/4814161/default.xsession-errors.txt)
, or /var/log/syslog

Issue The battery indicator icon does not display the actual charging status of the battery on the lockscreen. It seams more like that it displays the last value that was measured befor session logoff.

Steps to reproduce no steps needed, just suspend your machine in the evening and check batery indicator on the lockscreen in the morning.

Expected behaviour

its expected that the battery indicator icon shows the real time value. It needs to refresh the status when the machine is activated from suspend.

Other information none

Thank you very much for taking care of this little detail.

I'm only using Cinnamon Mint 20 in a VM, (VMWare Workstation 15 Player, with the option to report battery information to the guest selected) but am having what may be the same issue. For me, though, I almost never suspend my machine, (just close the lid when I'm not using, with the lid close action set to do nothing, and the hard drives set to never sleep while plugged in) so maybe it's happening simply as a result of the lock screen coming up?

Did confirm that it's a Cinnamon-specific thing, (rather than a VMWare thing) since I have another VM of KDE Neon where the battery indicator inside the VM is reporting properly, (i.e. host and guest are equal +/- a rounding error).
