Start menu scalling issues / cut off / too tall

• Cinnamon version (cinnamon --version) 4.6.7

• Distribution - (Mint 17.2, Arch, Fedora 25, etc...) Fedora 33

• Graphics hardware and driver used $ lspci | grep VGA 2:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Skylake GT2 [HD Graphics 520] (rev 07)

resolution: 1366 x 768

• 32 or 64 bit

x86_64

• Attach /home//.xsession-errors, or /var/log/syslog n/a - see attached screenshot

Issue start menu is too tall & is getting cut off at the top, making search bar & some icons not visible.

Steps to reproduce install a bunch of applications, causing the start menu to grow, and try to view it on a limited-resolution screen.

Expected behaviour The start menu will appear too large / too tall, and be cut off at the top

This issue is being worked on for the new release - for now you can edit your menu to reduce the number of categories.
