The software is called mint-common. See the Debian/copyright file. That's also its name for translating: https://translations.launchpad.net/linuxmint/latest/+pots/mint-common. I think the redirect on GitHub is because the repository is in "mintcommon" but the software proper name is "mint-common" so the redirect makes both work without having to change scripts or such that assume the one or the other.

I was reading the docs for the first time and noticed that "mint-common" wasn't accurate. The GitHub link was redirection to https://github.com/linuxmint/mintcommon.git from ../mint-common, but I thought I'd make things more accurate since it was low cost.
