I have built a new computer with the new B550-E motherboard. All operating systems that I tested below, I have tested and confirmed the following configurations with my system.
Mint 19.0 Cinnamon, wireless does not work, ethernet does not work (just a reference point)
Mint 20.0 Cinnamon Beta, wireless works, ethernet does not work
Mint 20.0 Mate Beta, wireless works, ethernet does not work
Mint 20.0 Xfce Beta, wireless works, ethernet does not work
Ubuntu 20.04 Vanilla, wireless works, ethernet works
Ubuntu 20.04 Cinnamon, wireless works, ethernet does not work
Manjaro 20.0.1 Cinnamon, wireless works, ethernet works
Windows 10, wireless works, ethernet works
Under the system tray, networking says the wired is unplugged. I made no changes (I left the ethernet cable plugged in) other than loading the different operating systems in the live environment. Installing the OS, and updating to the latest drivers made no difference.
You'll notice how Ubuntu 20.04 Vanilla ethernet works but Ubuntu Cinnamon has the same issue that Mint Cinnamon Beta has. I installed the OS, ran the update manager, the updater updated the kernel. None of that fixed the issue.
