Add to panel creates a new panel launcher instance instead of adding application to panel #197

Hi, I'm using Cinnamon. When I click the Add to panel option for any application, it does not add to the panel. image

Instead, I have two Panel launchers containing the same apps. Screenshot from 2020-06-25 15-01-48

A new panel instance is added each time I click the "Add to panel" option. I'm unable to add any other application to the panel
