re-create bottom-edge panel? #51

I deleted the bottom-edge panel ("task bar") and now minimizing windows makes them disappear. Can the panel be re-created? Or is there another way to minimize or iconify windows?

I've figured out "another way": create a new side panel and add a window list, Configure it to auto-hide (so it normally doesn't take up desktop space) and make it very wide (180 pixels) so the windows can be identified easily. Minimized windows are still in the window list (faded) and can be maximized easily (or moved to another workspace).
