Mintinstall can't get auth when connecting with xsession #408

A repost of this issue https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/12070 Essentially, no matter what I look up, mintinstall can't get auth to install packages, I've even trying temporarily an allow everything (not sure if it was well implemented) policy, and it still fails, atm I have no desktop, so not sure if it would work if I was on a normal dekstop, I am using xrdp if that helps.

Do other things that require authentication work? Like mintsources, timeshift, update manager, etc...

timeshift works, update manager does not

edit: hmmm, okay, I see a clue now, maybe it is just misconfigured it.

It was a misconfiguration on /etc/polkit-1/localauthority.conf.d/ leaving this here for future souls who travel through this path, hope this helps someone
