It's possibly the same (I didn't test) with removing keys or making other changes, but by removing PPAs and repositories, you get a bottom notification that the APT configuration changed. That notifications covers the Add/Edit/Remove/Open buttons, so you'll have to either click OK or Cancel on that notification if you want to make more changes.
