This is a feature request from an end user / layperson that's not much of a sysadmin but just using Mint to get normal stuff done as an alternative to running Windows or Mac.
I'm just running mint update and noticing some programs I don't actually need. Would be nice if I could uninstall them from within the updater rather than have to do so separately via Software Manager. Also when I type the app's name as shown in the updater into the Software Manager to remove it that way, it's not showing up. Seems like the name of the app as shown in Mint Update is not the same as in the Software Manager. It might also be a good idea if Mint Update showed the application name that could be found by Software Update.
