An installed full disk encryption Linux Mint Cinnamon system
"Remove obsolete kernels and dependencies" option is ON
Observed:
/boots gets fulls on some kernel updates (Cinnamon displays a message about it)
Expected behavior:
When "Remove obsolete kernels and dependencies" option is ON, it should free the user from manually tidying the /boot partition.
Suggestions:
The Linux Mint installer should make a larger (x2 or x3) /boot partition for full disk encryption systems, so that the obsolete kernels removal automation manages to tidy /boot at a faster pace than kernel updates fill it up.
Alternatively, should the kernel removal automation be more aggressive ? Should it be run after every kernel update, rather than every week ? Anyway when the system has manually installed kernels, this would probably not be enough to avoid that /boot fills up.
Additionally, turn the kernel removal automation option ON by default (#696), so that manually tidying the /boot partition on full disk encryption systems would never be a thing for casual users.
