Deprecation warnings #813

Open claudiux opened 1 year ago

claudiux commented 1 year ago

Describe the bug These lines appear in ~/.xsession-errors when mintupdate just started:

/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpdate/mintUpdate.py:1338: DeprecationWarning: Gdk.threads_init is deprecated
  Gdk.threads_init()
/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpdate/mintUpdate.py:766: DeprecationWarning: Gdk.threads_enter is deprecated
  Gdk.threads_enter()
/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpdate/mintUpdate.py:773: DeprecationWarning: Gdk.threads_leave is deprecated
  Gdk.threads_leave()

Screenshots No matters.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Watch ~/.xsession-errors (I use the xsession@claudiux applet)
  2. See error

Expected behavior Use Gdk.threads_add_idle () and Gdk.threads_add_timeout () instead of these deprecated functions.
