Unresponsive during large file transfers from external sources #444

When copying large files, from external sources Nemo 5.2.4 (Linux Mint 20.3 Una) becomes unresponsive

New tabs or windows cannot be opened during that time. The responsiveness goes back to normal once the transfer is completed.

With external sources I mean sources like:

It is so annoying, I use FTP whenever possible.

I am wondering why no one else has yet opened a similar ticket. Any hints on how I can debug why Nemo becomes unresponsive? Maybe the cause is some plugin or setup specific to my system.

Sorry, wrong repository. In the correct one there are actually already similar issues reported.
