This isn't a bug as the USB or SD card has it's own ./Trash folder in it's file system.
Issue Desktop Trash icon stuck on full even when empty of files. No Empty / Full icon change on Trash state change.
Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon 4.4.8 Nemo 4.4.2
Steps to Reproduce
Expected Behavior
Other information
This icon full /empty state change behavior only breaks when you change the Trash icon to something different. It then stays fixed on the icon you choose.
When you click on the Revert button it goes back to the default icon set, and the trash icon empty /full behavior goes back to normal.
Issue Opening the trash, there are no files at all. But the desktop trash icon shows the full trash icon. (Pressing the "Empty Trash" button doesn't help. Icon still shows full trash.)
Steps to reproduce
Expected behaviour The trash icon should show empty trash icon, if it doesn't show any file in the trash.
Other information Tried to delete
~/.local/share/Trash/
but it didn't fixed the Trash icon. Only way I could find, was to mount the usb/SD again. Then the trash shows the deleted files, which were deleted from this removable drive. It should show the deleted files, even if the removable drive isn't mounted any more. (Related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/+bug/269441)
