Open GypsyB opened 4 years ago

GypsyB commented 4 years ago
 * Nemo version (nemo --version)Nemo root
 * Is issue with desktop or windowed nemo? No microsoft on laptop
 * Distribution - (Mint 17.2, Arch, Fedora 25, etc...)Mint
 * Graphics hardware *and* driver used
 * 32 or 64 bit64

Issue "problem detected with thumbnail cash" then tells admin to log in, I do and it does nothing but go back to the same msg., also, snap shot of web pages isn't working now. I'm getting ready to roll back to before the last updates.

What version of Mint?

Try removing the thumbnail cache entirely (rm -rf ~/.cache/thumbnails)

I've seen this problem very occasionally - a message appears inviting you to fix the cache by entering your password (presumably to gain root authority via sudo). A single password entry has always been sufficient for me in LMDE3/4. Whatever the fix is, it takes instant effect and there is no apparent effect by ignoring the warning message. I have never seen this message as a non-sudo capable user.
