Issue With large files (the one I used was 125 MB), the Progress bar for various operations (file transfer, file compression) remains at ZERO throughout the operation.

Steps to reproduce Compress a large file of photographs, bigger than 100 MB, say. i.e right click on the file, choose "Compress", then choose the "Zip" alternative.

The Progrss window opens, as expected, but the progress bar remains at ZERO throughout the course of the operation. (the operation, however, is successful.)

Expected behaviour The progress bar should show the current extent of the operation throughout.

Other information This problem also applies to pasting the aforementioned file to a USB stick.

I compressed a folder of 139 videos [2GB] - took about 50 seconds and the progress bar moved smoothly from left to right. The progress of the file count was not smooth as there was a mixture of big and smaller files.

The USB issue is a different issue and is due to the influence of caching when writing to slow devices.
