Limited Nemo documentation #810

Documentation in nemo is very limited. Looking in the gui, I was unable to find anything of use. The man page gave some limited command line options (taken from nautilus) Ditto with the info page. The All Topics page (reference to comprehensive pdf help file online) includes one line involving nemo -> "Files A link to open the home directory in Nemo" <- It goes over some basic usage of the file manager (what happens when you delete stuff, etc)

There are far too many useful things about nemo for a distro dedicated towards the absolute newbie to ignore writing a manual. Even a very simple one including basic shortcuts and explanation of extra features (connect to server, side pane) would be helpful since there seems to be no other resource.

I started something a while ago but couldn't continue....A user driven wiki content would be great to start with http://cinnamon-desktop.wikidot.com/wiki:nemo

Debian Packaging (Contributor, I guess) for Cinnamon (https://salsa.debian.org/cinnamon-team)

This would be very useful-who would technically be the one to write this?

Also; keep in mind Nautilus doesn't have their own extra Manpages; Nemo is essentially a fork of Nautilus. Nautilus is essentially the same length of documentation as Nemo has.

IMO it should be a user that writes 'USER DOCS'.

I would agree. http://cinnamon-desktop.wikidot.com/wiki:nemo by @anandrkris is a great starting point - but unfortunately it is a non-secure website and there have been changes since 2015.

Perhaps a version could be produced from a simple markdown file?

This is the Linux Mint User Guide.

This Guide is not final. Content is being added slowly but surely :)

About 5 months ago this was started and it looks like new content would be welcome https://github.com/linuxmint/doc-user-guide
