Suggestion: Option to add the network applet to the menubar as an indicator #217

In setups with remote logins (sssd, openid etc.) it would be nice to have the network applet on the login screen so people can select an available wifi before logging in. Otherwise the login will fail on the initial creation of the profile as the credentials can't be verified. Clearly this is mostly an issue for enterprise setups and even there mostly for mobile workstations, but might be nice to have anyway. Thanks for considering.

This would be a good feature to have. We have a set of laptops in a school that runs Linux Mint for both desktop and some laptops that use wi-fi to connect to the schools server. A wi-fi indicator would be a great help for us. I might have a look to see if I can do it, if I get a chance. Anyway, if this is easy to implement by someone familiar with the code base that would be greatly appreciated.

+1 for this request

I have LDAP at home. So it would be good to be able to use the LDAP credentials, rather than having to resort to a mirror local acount password (which then messes up the keyring - lol)
