Translating the Timeshift application into Romanian (with errors and misspellings) #307
Hello! I am contacting you about translating the Timeshift application into Romanian.
Some time ago about a year ago I started translating this wonderful app. The translation it had before I started working on it was full of errors (elements translated incorrectly, wrongly) and spelling mistakes, I tried to completely retranslate it but unfortunately many of the elements I translated were not accepted even though most of them were correct. I worked very hard to translate, to revise, to make sure that the translation is as correct and accurate as possible, but unfortunately a large part of the elements translated by me were not approved by the Linux Mint team. Timeshift is a wonderful application that is very necessary and useful.
My opinion is that it would be good to be adopted in all Linux distributions. I want to restart the translation of this application, but first I want to make sure that the items I will review and translate will be approved in most of them and will be available soon in Timeshift releases. Currently the app contains a lot of mistakes and errors in the Romanian translation. Please, can you give me an assurance that the effort and work I will put in will not be in vain as before, when wrong and erroneous elements were kept in the Timeshift translation from Romanian, elements that I still find today unfortunately. Those who translated the application before did so somewhat superficially.
I used DeepL Translate: The world's most accurate translator, Google Translate, Reverso Context | Translation in context, I searched for a Romanian correspondent and I made sure the translated elements were correct. Maybe I made a mistake putting the emphasis on the directory and in some cases it was folder and maybe with the exception of a few elements that I didn't manage to translate better, in the end the translation I did for the application was much better and much more correct than the one that was before or currently when it is full of mistakes and errors.
I am a person who emphasizes quality and not quantity, I don't like superficiality, I don't like mistakes, I like perfection and fairness. Please trust me and accept all the elements that I will translate again, I assure you that I have spent a lot of time and worked hard to make these elements as correct as possible, I need a confirmation from you that my work this time will not be in vain. Please accept in full all the elements that I will translate in order to correct all the errors and mistakes that still exist in the translation of the Timeshift application into Romanian.
