How to update it on Linux Mint? [No issue, Question only] #230

Hi everyone.

My apologies for my ignorance, but I don't know how to update this app on my Linux Mint laptop. It's properly installed from the Distro Store, and used "apt show webapp-manager" to show app details, in both cases it says the application version is 1.1.9, which is outdated.

On another computer using Manjaro, I had it installed and it came right away on version 1.2.8.

Here in GitHub I see that the version 1.2.8 is published, I downloaded it but... honestly I don't know how to install it.

Could anyone inform how to update or install it to overwrite the old version? Thank you in advance!

Linux Mint is stable distro, the update would be come later, when the app is tested enough to work. Manjaro and Arch are rolling distros, so they receive the updates as soon as the apps are updated. Although you can build by cloning this repository and follow the instructions given, it is not advised to build it by your own if you are not experienced building debian packages from source. You should wait until Linux Mint packages it for you, so it appears in your store.

Hi, ImHemish. Thanks for your reply. Indeed, I better not do it on my own as I'd probably mess things up. Thought there could be an easy way, but that's not always the case.

Will wait for the deployment on Mint. Thanks and cheers!
