Mate fixups #82

I don't use mate, but... I noticed some changes while packaging for archlinux, and I decided to check what they did, and I noticed an inconsistency. It doesn't seem like it should work as is:

paths contain the literal string @libexec@
files are installed to one place but references point somewhere else

Hmph, debian builds fail due to file references I guess. Fixed.
