 * Mint 17.2

Feature request - vim keybindings! xed is just about perfect - light, fast and easy to use. It just needs vim keybindings. Please add them sometime soon. Pretty please?

Why do Vim ones ? Seems, that they are non-intuitive.

I think would be better to stay with current ones (from gedit), make all them configurable.

Because I've been using vim since 1995, and my muscle memory has vim keybindings ingrained. I don't have to think about using the editor at all, and can instead focus on writing. I know that most people like the default key bindings, and that's fine with me, that's why I submitted this as a feature request. :)

Side note: You would be surprised at just how many people are vim folks, though. That's why a whole lot of other editors (Atom, Sublime, Kate, etc) include the ability to enable vim bindings.

@biffster , in such case, I think, it would be better to make keybindings configurable and to make several default presets (including VIM ones).
